"The elements behind the blasts cannot be the followers of any religion or sect. They are enemies of humanity bent upon creating hatred," JEI spokesman Zahid Ali said in a statement in Srinagar.
JEI urged people of the pink city to maintain communal harmony to frustrate the nefarious designs of the perpetrators, he said.
Strongly condemning the blasts which left over 60 people dead and scores of others injured, Ali said JEI expresses solidarity with the bereaved families and called for an impartial judicial inquiry to expose the elements involved in the gruesome and dastardly act.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik also condemned the serial blasts. "It is condemnable act. Whosoever is involved in the act cannot be human being", he said.
Malik expressed his sympathy for the next of kin of those killed in the blasts.
