Students raise Rs 2 lakh for leprosy welfare

Students of Kashmir University collected Rs two lakh by organising a charity show to raise funds for the welfare of leprosy-affected people in the valley.

Srinagar, April 8:  Students of Kashmir University collected Rs two lakh on Tuesday by organising a charity show to raise funds for the welfare of leprosy-affected people in the valley.

The major contribution to the show held at the University auditorium, came from Inspector General of Police S M Sahai, who donated Rs 50,000.

The students, on their own, had already arranged 67 gas cylinders, solar lanterns and beds for people affected by leprosy.
