2 policemen arrested in LeT militant case

Two policemen, who were suspended for dereliction of duty in connection with the escape of a Lashker-e-Toiba militant from police lockup, were arrested, official sources said.

Jammu, March 26:  Two policemen, who were suspended for dereliction of duty in connection with the escape of a Lashker-e-Toiba militant from police lockup, were arrested on Wednesday , official sources said.

Special Police Officer Havalday Jyoti Prakash and Romal Chand were arrested and later produced before a court, the sources said.

Abdul Qadir, who was arrested on March two for smuggling arms and ammunition from Kashmir valley to Bhaderwah town in Doda district, escaped from the police lockup in Doda district on Monday night.
